About Us

Little Learners Childcare is a nurturing and engaging childcare center dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and educational environment for children. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Lead Daycare Teacher to join our team and help foster children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

Position Summary

The Lead Daycare Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities, supervising classroom staff, and creating a positive learning environment for children. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, patient, organized, and passionate about early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement daily lesson plans and activities aligned with developmental goals and WMELS
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Supervise and engage children in learning, play, and social activities.
  • Monitor children's progress and communicate with parents regarding development and concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records, attendance, and incident reports as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations and health and safety standards.
  • Mentor and support assistant teachers and classroom aides.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting.
  • Knowledge of child development and classroom management techniques.
  • Lead Teacher certification or state-required credentials.
  • CPR and Pediatric First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a lead teaching role.
